Piggy Bank

Hayden has always had a thing for money ever since he learned what it was and I have done a brief post on this before but this weekend Hayden got a new piggy bank because his dad accidentally broke his old one while putting his room together after the move. We gave him a choice between a football piggy or a dinosaur piggy and he picked. . . . . . .   I'll let you see in the pictures which one he picked. After buying the new bank we went home and traded all his money out and counted it. He had $47 in his piggy bank. I was amazed he had that much!!! We then counted out his tithing and let him pay it today. He was so excited and so cute. We told him he was giving his money to Jesus and helping the church and that everyone would be happy he did. When we got to church he called the bishop Jesus twice, lol. Then  once we got the envelope all filled out he went up with his dad to pay it. The best part was when he came running back to me with a huge SMILE and so happy that he did it. He gave me a big hug and said I did it. I was proud of him and happy he did it too. Now we will just let him keep collecting money and start a savings account for the boy. Oooooo and just a side note our hands where disgusting after wards, so black and nasty feeling. Grossed me out knowing he had touched that money before and some times carried it around for quit a while!

The money seperated into dollar piles

  1. Love this blog with Hayden and his new dino. It's exciting to see him learn at such a young age about paying his tithing. How cute that he called the bishop, Jesus!
